I’ve always yearned to run a cafe, or a shop, and enjoyed baking so started to bake for family and colleagues and turns out I’m quite good at it! I achieved my 5 star food hygiene rating for my home kitchen from Monmouthshire county council and then I was away! I started selling my homemade treats at fayres and car boot sales and BlueBusBakes was created. A chance conversation with a friend alerted me to an advert on Facebook for expressions of interest for running a cafe in a local secondary school. I visited, and new it was the place for me. Luckily, the lovely Leadership team at the school agreed and gave me the opportunity to run BlueBusBakes at The Big Bean Cafe.
